Full Sail Real World Education

Full Sail Real World Education is one of the more flamboyant film editing schools in the world. Founded in 1979 by Jon Phelps, Full Sail started as a recording studio workshop and later expanded to offer degree programs in Computer Animation, Digital Art and Design, Entertainment Business, Film, Game Design & Development, Recording Arts, and Show Production & Touring. As far as film editing schools go, Full Sail offers a Bachelor of Science in Film.

Brooks Institute of Photography

The Brooks Institute of Photography is one of the most famous film editing schools. Their Film and Video Production Program is based in a former movie production studio. Founded in 1945 by Ernest H. Brooks, Sr., the Brooks Institute began offering classes in film editing and all aspects of film making in the 1950's.

London Film School

Looking for a great film editing school? Founded in 1956, The London Film School is one of the oldest film schools in the world. They celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2006.

Many famous film editors graduated from The London Film School, including Julian Doyle, Mark Goldblatt, Kant Pan, Robert Leighton, and Nic Gaster.

Many other great filmmakers in all areas of film making have graduated from London Film School, including Michael Mann, Tak Fujimoto, Roger Pratt, Ueli Steiger, Luis Mandoki, Curtis Clark, Bill Douglas, Franc Roddam, Alain Tanner, Ian Wilson and Anne Hui.
